Yesterday, we went to Projekt Revolution. While there, we saw some pretty interesting sightings. Of course I was the one who found the most disturbing of them all. Vic said that I was a magnet for that stuff. I think he's right.
Our first sighting of the day was a girl that had to be escorted to the medical area in a wheelchair because she was just a tad bit too drunk. Nothing interesting there. She was sitting on the ground, drunk.
Our second adventure of the day was when we saw this girl standing near her friend wiping her face with a napkin. Vic, Aunti, and I notice that there was pink chunky stuff right in front of her. She must have been having a really good time. She was escorted to the medical area in a wheelchair.
After seeing the vomit, you'd think the day wouldn't get any better. It did. We're sitting outside after watching Busta so-and-so, (some of) The Bravery, and (some of) Ashes Divide. Across from us is a group of guys. One of their friends are extremely drunk. At first, he's laying his head down on the table. Then, he progressed to laying down on the bench. Finally, after an involuntary decision, he's laying on the ground. A loud smack caught my attention very quickly. I look at the pavement to see if he was okay. I was looking for any sort of mark, vomit, or liquid... anything. That's when I notice a dark spot around his head. I thought he was bleeding. He got up okay and was walking decently. The ironic thing is that he was wearing a 'What Would Jesus Do?' bracelet. We ran into his friends later. They said he was okay but they might have to leave the show earlier.
We return to our seats inside the Tweeter. I failed to mention this earlier in the post but Aunti had a very familiar sighting. It was... the harpoon whale. Possibly a different one but Aunti said it was really similar to the original harpoon back. She's still sitting there, in Aunti's corner. Oh boy!
Linkin Park finally comes on. They're playing amazingly, as usual. Even though they are putting on a good show, they can't keep my attention. Inside, I was watching these people in the back row. This one girl (who will be mentioned shortly) sits down on a chair. A guy then decides to sit on her. He proceeds to do humping motions on top of this poor girl. Now, I understand people dance with each other but I don't really understand why people decide to hump each other in public.
After a few songs, I notice the same girl turning around. I'm curious so I look to see why she's turning around. It just so happens that she is flashing the guys behind her 5 or 6 times. Of course, I'm the only one that notices the humping and then the boob flashing. I tell Aunti and Vic. Aunti doesn't care but Vic laughs.
There is a short break between the last song of the regular set and the encore. I turn around to talk to Aunti and that's when I notice out of the corner of my eye a wet spot. I look to see what exactly it was and it turns out to be a girl that peed her pants. Once again, I tell Aunti and Vic. Finally, Vic tells me that I'm a giant weirdo for noticing this stuff.
The show is over and Vic decides to take me down the scenic route of Camden... Broad Street. I was determined to see the ladies that do very bad things for money. Hookers. There were 5 of them. They were all very friendly. They kept waving at us. I really had the urge to stick my head out of the window and wave back to them. We only took the scenic route because on our way to the show Aunti was talking about how many hookers there were. I was excited that there was a large amount of hookers so therefore I asked Vic to show them to me. They would be my first live hooker sighting. I was a virgin to the hooker sightings.
    Interesting day. Very interesting day.

Today started out as any ordinary day. I woke up to see if Dee and Vic were already at work. They were. So, I decided I should go pee. I bounced my way down the hallway and into the bathroom. I closed the bathroom door behind me and turned around. That's when I notice this pad of sticky notes on our sink. I read it. It said:

"I'm sorry to tell you that George Carlin passed away last night."

My first thought was that it was a joke. I didn't believe it. Then, as I'm peeing, I realized that it wasn't a joke. George Carlin was old. It was bound to happen soon. I started to tear up, but I held back my tears. I go into Aunti's room and say," Today was a good day until I went to the bathroom." She asked," Why?" I merely state," George Carlin died." Then, I lost it. The crying fest would start.
As I continued to think about my love dying, I realized that he couldn't have "passed away" like the note said. George wouldn't "pass away". George would die. He would go out big, just like he said in Napalm & Silly Putty and at his stand-up shows. I then jokingly said," I guess he got the two minute warning." I liked to think that he went out big.
Aunti offered to see why George had "passed away". I turn on the screen for Aunti. (The screen has been a jerk lately because it refuses to turn on easily). I push the button. The screen comes on. The first words I read were:

"Comedian George Carlin passes away at 71"

That was not what I needed to see. I walked out into the living room and say to Aunti," There's already an article about George up on the screen." Again, I start to cry. A few minutes later, I learn that George "passed away" from a heart attack. He was admitted into the hospital because he had chest pains earlier yesterday. Thankfully, he went into the hospital immediately. He's a smart man. Later that night, he "passed away".
If I know George correctly, it was not just a boring heart attack. Even though he didn't give a big long speech and then say "If I'm lying, let God strike me down", it still was a shock. He didn't "go out with a bang". He went out with a "WTF?!?!?!" instead. It was a shock to all of his fans and his fellow comedians.
Today, as we are sitting around grieving more and more about George's death, we are all trying to remember George in the best way possible. Some of us might be reading his books or watching his specials. Others might be writing about how much they loved him. Some might still be crying. I am remembering how happy he made me. He was my God. I idolized George Carlin. I would steal his quotes (like how we have "immune systems" so we can eat food off of the ground or not shower unless it's necessary) and use them against people. He would never let me down. He was always right, and he was always funny. Now all I can hope for is that his family shoots him out of a cannon at his funeral like he wished.
    I love him.

We were all in the van heading towards our destination that would turn out to be the best night of my life... so far. As we pulled into our parking spot, I noticed a lot of stripes, black, gray, and red clothing everywhere while there was a whole handful of emo hair.
"Oh boy," I thought. "Here we go with the crazy fans."
We got out of the car and went to the front of the line. Everyone was all emo while I was bright with my orange and teal clothing. I counted down the seconds until the doors would open, until I'd be closer to him. Way closer.
"Open the doors," I heard a guy say.
Thump, thump, thump. My heart was pounding in my chest, adrenaline running through my body. All I wanted to do was get in there and rock out.
Finally, the doors were open. We were inside. Our ticket stubs were given back to us. I start running towards the front. It was glowing, the horrible barricade keeping me away from him, that is.

"Stop running!!!" was all I heard.
"Crap!" I thought. "Where is she?"
I turn around and see her walking SO slow.
"Come on Colleen!!!" I yell. I grabbed her by the arm and drug her up to the front.
People were filing in now. It became clearer that I was really up front, against the barricade. It was clear that I was going to have to push against that barricade with over 1,000 pounds on top of me. But it would all be worth it. I was able to see My Chem closer than ever before.
The first band, Drive By, came on. All I could think of was how close I was. I was so amazed that I didn't even realize that the second band, Taking Back Sunday, came on. The whole place erupted as soon as they threw their white masks into the audience. Whoever caught those masks must have felt pretty special. What they don't know is that I was way more special than them. Reason being is that the singer,
Adam Lazzara, noticed me. When I say he noticed me, I mean he NOTICED me.
Throughout the show, all I noticed was how Adam kept looking in my general direction. At one point that I realized he was looking directly at me. It wasn't until later that I fully noticed that he was mentally having sex with me on stage and fully enjoying it.

Finally, Taking Back Sunday gets off the stage. This little girl next to me is super excited. I warn her that she isn't going to last throughout the show because she's a wimpy little girl and the crowd is super tough when it comes to Gerard. She didn't listen to me. As soon as the sound check for My Chem was finished, she was being tortured. I only saw her arm hanging onto the fence. Finally, right before My Chem came on, she was gone. Poor girl.
There was a giant force that came from the back and the side, ending directly in the middle. It felt like the shoving didn't even touch me. The adrenaline over came my body. I morphed into a completely different person, the true me. I have any worries. I didn't care that my boobs were being crushed or that I couldn't feel my knees. I didn't care that my head was bent back in an awkward position, that my hair was being pulled out, or that I was super hot. All of that didn't matter. He was there in front of me.
Halfway through the show I decided to stop looking at Gerard as much because I felt I was neglecting the other guys. I look at Ray and his long, poofy hair is bouncing everywhere. I look at Bob and..."Omigosh!!! He has longer hair!!" was all I could think. Frank was rocking out, as usual. Finally, I see Mikey. He got super attractive. He had a massive amount of eyeliner on and he was wearing a shirt that said "Mikey f***ing Way" on it. I decide to watch him for a little bit. I switch back over to Gerard for about five minutes. When I decide to look at Mikey again, I notice he was looking at me.
"Maybe he's not really looking at me. There are others around me," I thought. That's when I decided to smile at him. I cannot even remember all of the times the security guard had to stand up on the platform in front of me to grab the body surfers. That meant I got his man stuff in my face a lot!!!
After the show, I couldn't feel my legs. My knees were stiff, my hair was a hot mess, and I was uberly thirsty. That all didn't matter to me. That was the best day of my life. It was the best day in the time period of my birth until May 6th at 11:30 p.m.

The school science fair is coming up on Thursday, April 17th. Last year I chose not to enter so technically, this is my first time ever doing some crazy science experiment for class to earn a 100 in labs. Cool, right? Well, guess what my science fair project theme is. My friends and I are doing a theme based on why the sky is blue. That's a nifty topic. How many students do you know that entered "Why is the Sky Blue?" into the science fair? I find it to be pretty original.

Anyways, so far our project has turned out really well. We have this big thing of cardboard, like the presentation posters, and we wrote ALL over it. In the middle section, it is split in half. On the left side it is about why the sky is blue and then on the right side it has a theme that ties into why the sky is blue. It is "Why is the Sunset Red?" Pretty cool. We have all of these cool little diagrams and stuff in the middle.

On the left flap we have one crazy experiment where you need a big bowl of water, a mirror, and a piece of paper. The sun rays are supposed to reflect off of the mirror and project itself onto the paper. Well, it did and it was amazing. There were all of these really cool colors in this certain pattern. Now, on the right flap it's just a boring lab where you have this colored wheel and you spin it really fast until you see white. That's not as cool.

Well, I thought I would share my exciting science fair news with you since I have not been on vox in ages!!!! It's quite sad. I miss people or as I would say to you in real life....pedoples. Yep. It's pronounced pee-dope-ouls. I like it. Well, love ya! Bye!

What was the last concert you attended?

Well, you see, me and Aunti went to go see the Dresden Dolls. Yay! That was a fun show. There was a Grim Stripper and I was terrified of him at first. I backed away. Far away, too. Ask Aunti. He came out on stilts and I was quite terrified. Then, he started swinging his thing with the pointy blade on the end. Then he threatened to stab someone in the crowd behind me. Maybe it was me. I don't know. All I know is that I got scared and ducked. Yep. But then a whistle thingy blew and I was relieved. I said," Woo! I'm not gonna get hit in the head with a plastic thing. Go me!" That was a fun show.

Yeah. So, after the Grim Stripper, the Luminescent Orchestra (I wanted to stab my ear drums out) played. Before them was the insanely crazy Meow Meow. She scared me but Aunti loved her. There was a cute little gay guy up there that had to unhook or hook her bra and he had no idea what to do. That was cute. But! When it came to the dress he said he knew everything. How cute? I loved him.

So...the Dresden Dolls come out. It's fun. We, meaning Aunti, met Brian and Amanda after. They were nice. Amanda said not to do pictures but Brian ran away and did pictures with Aunti. He loved her. That was nice and thoughtful of him. He like, smashed her into him. That was cute. And fun. But mostly cute. Yep. That was our night. Fun. It really was.

I think it was Bruce Springsteen and his little song was Streets of Philadelphia. I don't know because Wiki can be mentally challenged sometimes. Also, on April 8th, 1994, just 2 days after my birth, Kurt Cobain's body was found. Oh yeah. Just a little less than a month before my birthday, Nine Inch Nails released The Downward Spiral which, and I quote, "a groundbreaking album that stands as one of the most acclaimed from that era." Now, isn't that nifty?
